I simply loved this newest offering from Maddie Taylor. Janelle is a 21st century nurse who finds herself transported back in time to 1878 after loosing control of her car. Unable to remember just how she got there, she finds herself bleeding in a jail cell. Aaron is marshal in a small Wyoming town. Sparks fly and Janelle is introduced to the strict standards of the time as well as a hefty dose of DD. Forced to marry her to prevent Janelle from being sent to a mental asylum, the two embark on a rocky road that leads to their HEA.
This book was outstanding to say the least. Just the right amount of spankings and sex. Mixed in with a great storyline. I loved how MT makes the impossible seem possible. The reader is never given an explanation as to just HOW Janelle comes to be in the past and we are left to use our imagination. I loved how Janelle finds a way to reach her parents and tell them that she is fine and living happily in the past. The epilog ties up the book so well. Janelle continues to pass on messages to her parents, knowing it will be over 100 years before they will read them. The last two pages of the book are pure magic as Janelle’s parents……., well I won’t ruin it for you. Let’s just say I laughed,I cried and I cheered. Maddie Taylor is an auto download for me. When I see a new book out by her I just buy it. I am hoping MT will make this a trilogy and give us Heath and Luke’s stories also.

Marshal’s Law is one of those stories that you don’t want to end. It made me laugh, tear up and smile. Janelle crashes her car and time travels into the 1800’s, ends up marrying a sexy as hell Marshal and from then on it’s a clash of wills along with lots of laughs and plenty of lovin’. Aaron is determined to teach his ‘independent’ wife that she can no longer be independent. That’s just the way it was back in the old west. Men were the head of the household and their women obeyed and that proved to be a challenge for Janelle. She certainly has her moments conforming to the different lifestyle like getting used to the layers of clothing women had to wear and not having the comfort of an air conditioner. That would kill me…lol. She also curses like a sailor on shore leave and Aaron has to take her in hand. And what a mighty fine hand it is. This story has it all. Hot sex, romance, humor, a delicious hero and a sassy heroine. Great combination. I’ll definitely be buying more books from this author.
★★★★★ Amazon Customer @ Amazon.com “Time Travel to Meet a Tall, Dark, and Handsome Marshal” on January 15, 2014
When I saw that Maddie Taylor’s book was a time travel western, I bought it immediately! I love a sexy cowboy any day, but I love time travel just as much. What an amazing story she wove!
Aaron Jackson is what every woman imagines as a cowboy. And wouldn’t we all love to wake up from an accident and see Aaron Jackson looking at us …”Aaron Jackson had tall, dark, and handsome down to a tee. Not to mention sexy and strong.” Janelle had a very difficult time transitioning and meshing 2013 to the late 1800s. But the love that they found and the compromises they made through their love and respect for each other has you falling in love with these two and cheering them on. The domestic discipline is set perfectly for the time period and what one would expect in the wild west. The sex in this book is very steamy and again it is amazing how Maddy Taylor brings you into the 1880s and the culture of the time. I found myself chuckling as she would remember TV shows or find items in her purse that she had to hide rather than explain to the family. Maddie Taylor thought of everything. I found myself astonished at the things we take for granted in 2013.
The ending completely took me by surprise and I LOVED it! As in all time travel books, you found yourself sitting and thinking…well if that happened here how did it happen back there, but ….wait that was ….no that couldn’t ….but if she did this…..what if…. God how I love time travel books and this is no exception. Maddy Taylor has me looking forward to the sequel. It is exciting to have a sneak peek into the stories for this family.
If you have ever thought it would be amazing to time travel and live in the days of cowboys and have your very own Marshal. Get this book so you can enjoy Marshal Aaron Jackson and the feisty, sassy, and sweet Janelle Jackson.

I loved this book!!! Don’t usually care for time travel but this was pretty good! It kept me on the edge of my seat!! Had a lot of twists & turns!! Always wondering if she was going to disappear!! I would hate to have to choose to stay with the man I loved or return to the family I had always known!! Wonderful book!!!!

Loved this book! The author did an amazing job of building the characters. The length was wonderful, I felt it ended when it naturally should, not when a certain amount of words were reached. That being said I am so excited that this is a series and I can’t wait to start the next installment.
★★★★★ Miss Marie @ Amazon.com “Exemplar of the Western Spanking Genre” on March 21, 2015
Marshal’s Law is an exemplar of the Western, Spanking Genre.
I intended only to read the free sample as I feared a time traveling plot would be weird and far from titillating. I was so wrong I deserved my own spanking. I was completely hooked after a scene at the end of Chapter One when the Marshall is holding down a crying and scared Janelle while a doctor tends to her head wound. The Marshall says “Hurry up, Doc; she’s breaking my heart here” – it was such a sweet moment and the start of a marvelous romance.
The time traveling plot works very well in this genre as Janelle’s confusion and ignorance about her new environment, and lack of any way to care for herself, enhances the Marshall’s responsibility to protect her, even at times from herself.
If domestic discipline, fair spankings, and true love appeal to you – this is your book! And don’t miss the sequel Jackson’s Justice.
