When Skye Madden is caught trespassing at an exclusive ski resort while trying to support herself as a tabloid photographer, she is stunned to discover that her childhood crush, Aidan Hastings, is the head of security. More shocking still, Aidan tells her in no uncertain terms that if she is found snooping around the resort again, he’ll take her over his knee and give her a spanking she’ll never forget.
When her boss sends her back to the same resort a year later on another assignment, Skye can’t help but remember Aidan’s warning, but a spanking quickly becomes the least of her worries after she gets lost on the mountain. While trying to find her way back, things go from bad to worse when she witnesses a cold-blooded murder, and she is left with no choice but to confess everything to Aidan. Worst of all, it appears that the murder is connected to the Russian mob.
Aidan decides he’s taking no chances with his best friend’s little sister, a girl he’s never been able to forget. As a former special agent, he is more than ready to do whatever is needed to keep her safe, even if that means taking her into hiding in an isolated cabin, whether she likes it or not. But Skye Madden has grown even more stubborn and headstrong than he remembered, and he soon realizes it will take quite a bit more than just a bare-bottom spanking to bring her in line.
Even with her world collapsing around her, Skye wonders how she can let this man—someone who has a place called a “punishment room” in his house, on top of everything else—start to claim her heart again. Can she learn to trust her firm protector, or will she take matters into her own hands and put her life in even greater danger?

“Nope, that won’t work. Hands stay out of the way. Have you ever been spanked, Skye?” His hand turning circles over her exposed mounds while he questioned her. “You didn’t answer me earlier and I’d really like to know.”
She just dared a glance back to find his gaze intent on her bare ass and she squeezed her bottom cheeks tighter. She was completely at his mercy, wholly vulnerable to whatever cruel ideas he had. He meant to spank her bare bottom and somehow, she wasn’t fighting with all she had to get away from him. Even given the fact he could easily overpower her, shouldn’t she at least be attempting to free herself?
He looked at her, raising his eyebrows, waiting for her answer. Somehow, without being consciously aware of the decision to answer, she did. She shook her head no, staring at him, unable not to. Her whole body felt alive, goose bumps raising every hair to stand on end. She swallowed, wondering why she wasn’t fighting him, if she should be, and while she was afraid of the pain of her imminent spanking, she found herself submitting to it. It was strange and wrong. Wasn’t it?
“Well, then today will be a memorable one for you,” he said.
He was enjoying himself at her expense and this realization finally spurred her into action. She began her struggle anew just as he started a mean rhythm, slowly working his way all around her bottom.
It hurt. It hurt worse than she imagined it could, and she fought him as he spanked her other cheek then returned to the first, one side then the next and covering the whole surface of her bottom. “Please! It really hurts!” She wiggled her hips from side to side to avoid the volley of spanks but he never once missed his mark. Her bottom stung, feeling hot but more than that, her whole body had heated through and the room that had been cold as ice when she’d walked in suddenly felt too warm. “Please stop. I’m sorry! I’ll do what you say. Please, Aidan.”
“Sir.”
“What?” she asked, grateful for the momentary reprieve.
“Sir,” he repeated.
He looked blurry through her tears. “What?” she asked again, some part of her understanding what he meant but another part refusing to acknowledge it, acknowledge how it made her feel.
“Sir. When you’re being spanked or in any other way reprimanded, you’ll call me sir. Try it, Skye. I’d like to hear you say it.”
