I’ve liked all of her books so much that I’ll now buy anything Jaye writes. This is her first collaboration, and to be honest, I was a little concerned—would I like her co-author’s work? Would their styles mesh well? I shouldn’t have worried. The book is wonderful, and it takes Jaye in a bit of a new direction. This book is suspenseful—there’s a scene near the beginning that had me a bit on edge, worried that something bad was about to happen. And it’s even violent at times, though in a good way that fits perfectly in the context of the story.
I can’t be too explicit in a review, so I’ll say that there’s a scene in the wheelhouse of a boat that was something I’d been looking for in Jaye’s work, one of the few things I’d missed from her so far. She (or was it her co-author?) really delivered. Consider me a very satisfied reader. 😉
I’ve spent a bit of time in Alaska, and the authors’ descriptions of life in the panhandle seem pretty spot-on to me. I’ve read some erotica (definitely not by either of these two) in the past where it seemed like the author had never set foot in the place he/she was writing about. Not in this case. Reading “Rules of the Wild” made me want to hop on a plane and go back to that beautiful, dangerous land.
This is a wonderful new direction and a solid new collaboration for my favorite author of erotica. It was a pleasure to read, and it makes me want more, and more. Well done, Jaye and Jack!

I thought this was a great story line! The characters worked well together to learn to trust again. The two are more opposites, but they work well together. And the little town feel was great as they all bond together. The drama within the story was just the right amount, not too much to take away from the characters but enough to add a little humph.

What a great read! I loved both Emy and Tobias and the authors did a wonderful job bringing their story to life. Tobias is my favorite kind of hero… a big, gruff bear of a man who is tough but knows when to be tender. I loved the chemistry between Tobias and Emy and I was hooked from the first page. I would definitely recommend this book!
